ESCAPE to the Arts SUMMER CAMP

Choose from 6 different week-long camps. Each week campers explore a different theme while creating works in a variety of media. Campers will be placed into small groups according to age and work with more than one instructor each week.
Week 1: People in Art
July 5 – 9
Discover the many ways people are portrayed in art. Draw portraits and cartoons, sculpt faces in clay, and make masks.
Week 2: Animals in Art
July 12 – 16
For a long time animals have been a favorite subject of artists. Show your favorite animals through drawings, paintings and clay figures.
Week 3: Around the World
July 19 – 23
Learn about art from different cultures around the world. Make masks, learn new dances, and paint famous national landmarks.
Week 4: Summer Fun
July 26 – 30
Is summer your favorite season? Create seasonal projects with mixed media, paint and clay.
Week 5: Nature in Art
August 2 – 6
Appreciate how nature and art go together. Create flower paintings, leaf prints, and nature impressions in clay.
Week 6: Famous Artists
August 9 – 13
Learn about famous artists and create masterpieces in their style. Explore different themes while drawing, painting and working with mixed media. |
